Who are We?

Heidi Turner (Owner) graduated in 2011, from Acadia School of Massage ,is a State of Maine licensed massage therapist, a mother of 2 children, a hiker, a cold water swimmer, a Black Belt in the MKKA, and an artist.

She opened Eden in 2011 to be able to work around her busy family schedule. She offers customized massage treatments, designed with each individuals specific needs in mind after meeting, and talking with her clients. She loves connecting with people, has a intuitive touch, and feels this is a foundation for the best treatments.

She loves Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park and spends as much time outside as she can.

The therapists on staff are hand chosen and give unique and effective treatments.

Tom Walsh:

In 1989 Tom graduated from the Harold J Reilly School of Massotherapy, now known as the Cayce Reilly School of Massage Therapy. For more than 30 years Tom has been practicing massage therapy, favoring traditional Swedish massage with a blend of deep tissue work, reflexology, shiatsu and therapeutic touch. After moving to MDI in 2003 he began working in Spas on the island as well as enjoying the many bike trails, canoeing and kayaking adventures the island offers.

At Eden Therapeutic Massage, Tom likes to offer clients a customized massage designed just for their needs.

Maya Eng:

Maya Eng is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Maine. She completed her certification at Acadia School of Massage with training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, and Sports Massage, among other modalities. Maya integrates a variety of techniques to accommodate the individual needs of each client. She favors a holistic, awareness-based approach to pain management with an emphasis on calming the nervous system. Maya is committed to providing inclusive, evidence-based care and continually adjusts her work to reflect new learning and best practices. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, dancing, and exploring Mount Desert Island with her toddler.
